Meet the Real Life Marriage Weekend Team!

Why RLMW?  Why this team?  I'm not sure anybody would call us experts- but we've been where you are and we've done more than just survive. We've experienced the generous grace of God as sometimes-overwhelmed homeschool parents who have found our marriage strengthened even while still on the homeschool journey.

Jay and Heidi St. JohnJay and Heidi St. John have been married since 1989, and have spent more than 17 years in full-time ministry, serving in churches across the Pacific Northwest as a pastor and worship leader, and more recently, as president of their state homeschool organization.

Jay and Heidi are the founders and executive directors of First Class Homeschool Ministries , a parachurch ministry with a vision to plant homeschool co-ops in churches from coast to coast. With six children ranging in age from two to sixteen, the St. Johns are still very much on the homeschool journey themselves - and offer a refreshing perspective as they share their wisdom and experience with others who are struggling with issues ranging from a tight budget to restoring intimacy in marriage.

The St.Johns bring energy, wisdom and passion to every Real Life Marriage weekend as they serve other couples. Straight talk, honest answers, Godly grace and rich humor mark both their public workshops and their private conversations.

Steve & JaneSteve and Jane Lambert have been married more than 35 years and began homeschooling in 1981 at the very beginning of the modern homeschool movement. With five grandchildren now, Steve and Jane's children have been through the homeschool experience, college, marriage and are now homeschooling their own children as the cycle repeats itself in a satisfying, natural and Christ-honoring way.

Raised in less-than-ideal home situations, Jane and Steve have experienced God's grace in remarkable ways, having served in full-time ministry now for more than 20 years as pastors, administrators, authors and speakers.

Jane is the author and developer of the award-winning homeschool curriculum Five in a Row and together she and Steve speak to thousands of homeschoolers across North America each year. Steve carries the lion's share of public speaking and serves as publisher of Five in a Row. They are passionate about using their life experience to help encourage and strengthen young couples who are still engaged in the homeschool journey. With a mixture of passion, experience and humor they leave a mixture of laughter, tears and hope behind them wherever they speak.

That's our story. What's yours? We can't wait to meet you, talk with you and help you step up to the next level of marital intimacy as we spend the weekend together. Please- join us for two days that will change your lives forever.
